New
features in Switch Expert (SE) v.4.5:
Build 44
- Individual user names may now logon to the SE server
via multiple client locations.
Build 43
- SEM two new commands were added in the SEM notify
popup menu which allow you to enable or disable a
particular email account for all triggers.
Build 41
- SMDR module now has wildcard searching using the * and
allows for customer group and console searching.
Build 35 - now
supports Command Line Polling (CMD) this feature allows
the SE 4.5 server to connect to the MSL-100 system and
extract the secret logs via a command interface using OPENSECRET "SECU" and "TABL".
These security-related events indicate who is
accessing or attempting to access the telephone system,
along with providing information on MSL-100 table access/modifications.
As with all system events, customers have the
option of setting email/paging and SNMP trigger
notifications on events requiring further attention.
For example, a trigger could be set to notify the
appropriate authorities if three (3) invalid logon
attempts are produced within a one (1) minute time
frame. If you would like further information about
this feature, please contact us.
Secure
Switch Access (SSA) - Allows SE v.4.5 (Build 025)
clients secure (128-bit) telnet access through the SE
v.4.5 server to accessible IP addresses i.e. the
Ethernet Interface Unit (EIU) . SSA also allows
secure access to the server's local RS-232 communication
ports connected to the DMS MSL IOC/IOM ports. The
SSA feature allows the system administrator to specify
which local server IP addresses or communication ports
are accessible to the secure clients. Enhanced
security requires clients to enter an additional
password when accessing this feature. The System
Event Monitor (SEM) records all secure access attempts.
System
Event Analyzer (SEA) - Allows
point and click analysis of thousands of critical, major
and minor system events along with AND and NOT advance
searching parameters/triggers.
Toll
Fraud Monitoring (TFM) – Provides notification of
simultaneous auth-code usage, excessive auth-code usage
and excessive/unusual domestic and international calls such
as long duration and unexplainable tandem calls.
